“Do not boast about tomorrow, for you do not know what a day may bring forth.”- Proverbs 27:1

“Learn from yesterday - Live for today - Hope for tomorrow. - Albert Einstein.

Dream as if you’ll live forever, live as if you’ll die today. - James Dean

We spend an awful lot of time planning for the future. But God is the only one who knows what tomorrow will bring, or if tomorrow will even come at all. We put our hope in the Lord that our lives will continue, but we truly need to live for today. We cannot keep putting off doing things until tomorrow. Some of those things will never ever get done, because technically ‘tomorrow’ never comes. Once tomorrow comes, it turns into today… =)

So many opportunities have passed us by, because we have waited until tomorrow. So many people may have had the chance to hear the gospel today, but we think we can tell them tomorrow. I know that I have to live this way too. I’m certainly not calling the kettle black. This totally applies to me as well.

Tonight we heard an amazing message from a true man of God. He spoke the truth, and he spoke it well. God’s Word does not say we are to live as slaves to the world, or to conform to the world’s pattern of thinking. No, it actually says “Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will; His good, pleasing and perfect will.” Romans 12:2 NIV We need to live to how the King sets out for us, to build up His Kingdom here on earth, as it is in heaven. WOW! What a spiritual wake-up call to the church! We do not have to sit back and let the devil have his way with the world. We need to take back what the enemy has stolen, and we are called to take it back violently with force. We have been given the authority and power by Jesus Himself, and we need to walk in that power TODAY, not tomorrow. Tomorrow may never come. What did our verse today say? “Do not boast about tomorrow, for you do not know what a day may bring forth.” We cannot brag that tomorrow is coming for us. We need to make sure that we ourselves are right with God as well. Church isn’t a building with bricks and clay it’s those who have that relationship with Jesus. Our hearts and minds need to be daily transformed so that we see with His eyes, and hear with His ears. We need to be CROSS-EYED…

Let’s make a pact together that we will live for today. We will learn from yesterday, and we will hope for tomorrow, but try not to leave anything undone today!!

PRAYER: Lord, we thank You for Your Word, and that we can take hold of the promises in it TODAY. We need not wait for tomorrow, because You haven’t promised us tomorrow. You did however promise us that You have great plans for us, for a hope and a future. We know in the end, whether today is our last day or not, that we have the victory through you, and our future is definitely bright because we look forward to Heaven. Help us as we strive to have Your Kingdom come and Your will be done on earth as it is in Heaven. Please God, WAKE US UP! Wake up Your believers by the power of Your Holy Spirit. Help us not to slumber, and sit back to the world. Help us to stand firm for You and Your Kingdom Concepts. We praise You Lord because we are fearfully and wonderfully made, and You care deeply for each of us, even more than the sparrows. Help us to trust you for TODAY, and help us to live for you TODAY! In Jesus’ Name, AMEN!
