“Therefore, as God's chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.” ~ Colossians 3:12

Just sitting here thinking of the people of HAITI, and praying… We are told to clothe ourselves with COMPASSION. Everyone needs compassion!

Compassion by definition is a feeling of deep sympathy and sorry for another who is stricken by misfortune, accompanied by a strong desire to alleviate the suffering. To often we stop at the first part of that definition and think we are feeling compassion for others. Just feeling sorry for someone does not make you a compassionate person, you also should have a desire to help them in their pain.

Check out http://www.lovehaiti.com/ for more information regarding the crisis in Haiti. YWAM is also involved, check out our friend’s site at http://www.ourlovingfather.com/ He quotes, “While many agencies are looking to ship donated goods into Haiti, YWAM Santo Domingo is buying supplies locally and transporting by land directly into Haiti.
